Forschungsinteresse
Miriam Al Enezy-Ulbrichs Forschung beschäftigt sich mit der Synthese biobasierter Hybrid-Hydrogele aus der biologischen Komponente Fibrin und synthetischen funktionalen Polymeren, welche zukünftig als Beschichtungen für kardiovaskuläre Implantate Verwendung finden sollen. Der Focus liegt hierbei bei der Beeinflussung der chemischen Struktur (Fibrin:Polymer Verhältnis), der Netzwerktopologie (permanente vs. supramolekulare Vernetzungspunkte) und Morphologie der Hydrogele im Hinblick auf ihre mechanischen Eigenschaften und ihr Degradationsprofil.
