Forschungsinteresse
Inspiriert von den faszinierenden Eigenschaften der Zellmembran, unzählige biologische Funktionen zu erfüllen, möchte Nina neue vollsynthetische Modelle der Zellmembran aufbauen. Sie konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung neuer Konzepte für Vesikel, deren Eigenschaften durch die molekulare Struktur der membranbildenden Moleküle - Amphiphile - gesteuert werden können. Sie möchte diese Vesikel nutzen, um komplexe zelluläre Eigenschaften zu untersuchen und grundlegende Abläufe zu programmieren, die es nicht zwangsweise schon in der Natur geben muss.
