Anisogel: A New Hybrid Hydrogel for Tissue Regenerative Therapy

An Injectable Hybrid Hydrogel with Oriented Short Fibers Induces Unidirectional Growth of Functional Nerve Cells: Tunable biomimetic injectable anisotropic hydrogel comprises magneto-responsive, cell adhesive short polymeric fibers. The hybrid hydrogel is defined as an Anisogel and has the ability to induce oriented cell growth and unidirectional neurite extension. The neurons inside the Anisogel show spontaneous electrical activity with calcium signals propagating along the anisotropy axis of the material. This is reported by Abdolrahman Omidinia-Anarkoli, Sarah Boesveld, Urandelger Tuvshindorj, Jonas C. Rose, Tamás Haraszti, and Laura De Laporte* in article https://doi.org/10.1002/smll.201702207.
