First ReWIRE consortium meeting at DWI
On January 31, 2023, the ReWIRE consortium met at DWI to discuss in detail the collaboration within the project and to create a roadmap for the next four years together. ReWIRE is set up to equip next-generation scientists with unique skills to develop groundbreaking therapeutic solutions for patients with paralysis. The overall goal is to translate combinatorial SCI therapies from bench to bedside in a timely manner, thereby improving the patients’ quality of life and reducing societal burden.
In the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network, 16 PhD students in Europe (10), the UK (2) and Switzerland (4) will work together to develop and combine innovative translational neurotechnologies and rehabilitation interventions to repair and restore neurological functions after spinal cord injury.
