Protecting plants with antimicrobial peptides and gallates (031B0384)
Reducing pesticide and fungicide usage is of great importance for a sustainable agriculture and bioeconomy. Within the Pro-Planta project scientists from DWI and the State University of São Paulo develop smart release systems and pesticides for plant protection. The project focuses on the protection of citrus plants against citrus canker. Brazil is currently the largest producer of oranges in the world, where 75 % of all oranges are produced in São Paulo state.
