ProbioPads

A plaster was developed with probiotic bacteria (PB) leading to the treatment of bacteria-associated skin diseases like acne and to the dying of pathogenic target bacteria. Here the PB are not directly applied to human skin. The prototype developed within the project allows an appropriate reaction to the growing need for the treatment of acne and infected wounds. It contributes to “healing without antibiotics” and thus, to the reduction of resistance formation in pathogenic bacteria.
