KlarTEXt
Material, function, circularity and resource efficiency are omnipresent topics in science and industry with great development potential for society. The MKW is funding the development and establishment of the platform, which will also bundle the innovation needs of society and companies and translate them into scientific activities and teaching formats. With the help of the KlarTEXt cooperation platform, the cooperating researchers want to identify obstacles to a sustainable textile industry, define measures to overcome them and work on the levers for a socially and ecologically sustainable textile industry.
Together with the non-university partners Cluster Industrielle Biotechnologie e.V. (CLIB), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Wuppertal Institut für Klima, Umwelt, Energie gGmbH and Nova-Institut GmbH, the cooperation platform aims to dynamize the transformation to a sustainable textile and clothing industry. The joint research topics of textile materials, functions, circularity and resource efficiency as a cross-cutting issue will be:
1. shared with society in clear terms,
2. transferred to companies for increased innovative strength and
3. given relevance through social and economic participation.
At the same time, the platform will bundle the innovation needs of society and companies by means of 360' communication and translate them into scientific activities and teaching formats.
As a hybrid between digital networking platform, presence innovation space and mobile events, the platform will enable players to help shape the future and identify growth potential.
