DEI at DWI

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) stands for diversity, fairness and belonging. It describes the conscious handling of different perspectives, life realities and identities within an organisation.

In relation to organisational structures, DEI aims to break down barriers, promote equal opportunities and fairness, and create a respectful and appreciative working environment.

For the DWI, DEI means creating an environment in which all employees can develop their potential regardless of their origin, gender, age, disability, religion, or sexual orientation. At the DWI, diversity is seen as a strength that enables scientific excellence and is enriched by different perspectives and experiences.
Inclusive and diverse research teams work more creatively, innovatively, and across disciplines. By actively promoting a DEI culture, we also aim to strengthen the international appeal and social relevance of our organization.
