FeedPlatePlus

Development of a hight-hroughput screening platform

The aim of the project is to develop a microtiter plate that support the cultivation of bacteria and screening and recovery of its products. This project is based on a previously developed and commercialized microtiter plate which releases a carbon source (glucose) in order to simulate the conditions of fed-batch fermentation. Such device allow the screening of microorganisms and growth conditions The new system additionally includes the capability of the bioaffinity capture of produced proteins and their recovery. The combination of these two developments enables the production of an all-in-one microtiter plate (FeedPlatePlus).
