Ultra-thin hydrogel coating for antifelt finishing of wool (antifelt hydrogel coating)

We develop an ultra-thin coating that is water-applicable and biodegradable, modifying only the outermost wool fibre surface to shield the attractive forces that contribute to the felting effect without negatively affecting the wool's natural properties. During the finishing process, the application of the coating does not require any additional energy input; in fact, even the drying process can be used to fully cross-link the coating before further processing.
