Davood Khoeini, PhD

Dr. Davood Khoeini serves as a postdoc researcher at DWI, in the area of microfluidic systems design and microfabrication for the spheroids encapsulation within synthetic hydrogels for the 3D-bioprinting of synthetic organs capable of supporting cell growth.

Prior to joining DWI, he received his PhD from Monash University, Melbourne, in the area of microfluidic-assisted self-assembly of nanostructures. The Lab-on-a-Chip approach developed in his research has shown enabling reaction mixture composition control over self-assembly processes to enable the fabrication of more sophisticated, imine-based self-assembled constructs with potential applications in drug discovery systems, and tissue-prosthesis interface.
