Bio-based coatings for functional clothing in the BioCoat project

Functional clothing protects against cold, wind and rain. This is often due to an environmentally harmful layer of perfluorinated or polyfluorinated chemicals (PFCs). Our project leader Dr. Felix Jakob proves that impregnation can also be sustainable in the BioCoat project, which is part of the BIOTEXFUTURE innovation space funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
