Dr. Claudia Garrido

My research focuses on the development of advanced hydrogel-based biomaterials to control and understand cellular behavior in three-dimensional (3D) environments, with particular applications in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and mechanobiology. A central theme of my work is the design of spatially patterned biomaterials that reproduce the heterogeneous mechanical, structural, and biochemical characteristics of native extracellular matrices.
