Research interest
In his research Alexander focuses on the development of a novel and rainfast delivery technology for effective pest control with reduced pesticide use. This innovative plant protection technology consists of biodegradable microgel containers that can be loaded with active ingredients and are decorated with so-called anchor peptides (adhesion promotors). Here, the anchor peptides act as adhesion mediators and ensure rainfast binding of the loaded microgels to plants.
