Prof. Dr. Laura De Laporte is now Associate Editor of ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces

Since November 2020, Laura De Laporte has been named Associate Editor of the ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (ACS AMI, Impact Factor 8.758) Science Journal.

The journal publishes articles and papers on newly discovered materials and interfacial processes for a variety of applications, including polymer and materials science. It was founded in 2009 by the American Chemical Society and has grown steadily since then. Nowadays, the majority of publications come from scientists outside the United States. Since 2015, the journal has been published weekly.

Due to her research expertise in the development of biohybrid and bioinspired materials, De Laporte was asked for this position by Editor-in-Chief Prof. Kirk S. Schanze, holder of the Robert A. Welch Distinguished University Chair at the University of Texas. As Associate Editor, her responsibility is to review publications in the field of biomaterials, together with other suitable reviewers.
