Preparing the ground for a joint lab with the Medical Faculty of the RWTH Aachen University

Scientists from the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University and the DWI plan to establish a joint-lab. The precompetitive translation research in the joint-lab is meant to allow medical doctors that are active in research to prove the benefit of new Medical Products and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products. The federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) plans to finance an extension building that allows advancing developments from preclinical research to clinical research, following the rules of Good Laboratory Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice. The joint-lab will also focus on training the scientific employees for this strongly regulated translational research.
