Einstein Professorship for Institute Director Stefan Hecht

Stefan Hecht, Scientific Director at the DWI - Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials, is devoting himself to new tasks as part of his recently received Einstein Professorship at Berlin's Humboldt University since October 2022. With a "Einstein Professorship", the Einstein Foundation supports appointments of scientists at the highest international level at Berlin universities. He will remain committed to the DWI in a part-time capacity until December 31, 2022.

The responsible committees have already initiated appropriate steps to regulate the succession. Andreas Herrmann, member of the Management Board and Vice Scientific Director at the DWI, is convinced that the position of Scientific Director will be occupied timely by an excellent successor. The Scientific Board and the staff of the DWI wish Stefan Hecht a successful start in the Berlin scientific environment.
