Magnetic-assisted bioprinting

3D bioprinting offers the possibility to fabricate patient-specific tissue constructs with precise and complex structures. Here, a new type of magnetic-assisted bioprinter is engineered that allows controlling the internal orientation of each printed layer independently, providing spatially complex 3D architectures with controlled gradients (biochemical, mechanical, and structural) that can closely mimic tissues with zonal organizations, such as cartilage.
