Dr. Nina Kostina
Research interest
Inspired by the fascinating properties of cell membrane to perform myriad biological functions, Nina aims to build new fully synthetic models of cell membrane. She focuses on the development of new concepts for vesicles in which their properties can be controlled by the molecular structure of the membrane-forming molecules - amphiphiles. She wants to utilize these vesicles to study complex cellular properties and program basic activities that do not necessarily mimic life.
Nina Kostina is part of the RG Rodriguez-Emmenegger.
