Research interest
Dr. He's research aims to develop a series of mechanoresponsive prodrug systems relying on ultrasound to activate drugs from their parent macromolecules or nano-assemblies through the controlled scission of mechanochemically labile covalent bonds or weak noncovalent interactions. One focus is on reducing the sound intensity required for bond scission and simultaneously achieving high spatiotemporal control of the release process.
