New Biomedicine building: The Center for Biohybrid Medical Systems

04.05.2018

Near the DWI Institute, the new Center for Biohybrid Medical Systems (CBMS) at the Cluster Biomedical Engineering was officially opened at the beginning of May. In it, technical and biological components will be merged and produced to biohybrid medical systems and then tested. In the foreground are biohybrid  implants for the cardiovascular system and the support system of the lungs, but also diagnostic and therapeutic nanoactive substances for the personalised therapy of tumours and inflammatory diseases.

Some scientists of the DWI have also laboratories at the CBMS. Thus, we look forward to co-operating closely with their scientists.
