LaserPolyNonwoven

Laser-induced stabilization and carbonization for the targeted adjustment of high porosities in melt-spun carbon fibers

Aim of the project is the development of melt-spun PAN-based nonwovens permitting subsequent stabilization and carbonization in a fast laser process. The particular focus lays on a fast laser stabilization by addition of IR-absorbing fillers, so that the polymer fibers cannot relax and melt during fiber conversion.
