Biobased polyurethanes for textile coating
The goal of this transnational project (together with Centexbel, Belgium) is to implement biobased polyurethanes, preferably isocyanate-free, in textile coatings that comply with European regulations and labeling requirements. The DWI develops isocyanate-free and bio-based polyurethanes based on cyclic carbonates, which form urethane groups by ring opening with amines.
