Schier focuses on mechanochemical methods for the end-of-life recycling of polymers. By combining mechanical force under catalytic conditions, the basics of efficient modern recycling processes are investigated. Particularly, these processes shall complement chemical recycling processes of polymers which cannot be solely mechanically recycled.
