Viktorija Glembockyte-Winner

Winners of WIMA 2024

On 26 September, we had the honor of hosting the 4th Women Interactive Materials Award: The 2024 winner is Viktorija Glembockyte (Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, see right picture). She convinced the jury in her presentation of her work on nanoscale tools for sensing single molecules.

We would like to congratulate her and the other two laureates Céline Calvino (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg) and Giulia Lavarda (Eindhoven University of Technology) for their outstanding performance and also thank the other finalists Maria Villiou (Max-Planck-Institut für Polymerforschung), Erica Del Grosso (Università di Roma Tor Vergata) and Andreia Trindade Pereira (Universidade do Porto) for making this a great event of special scientific plurality and excellence.

Our special appreciation go to the generous sponsors ALTANA AG, Förderverein DWI Aachen and the research alliance Leibniz Health Technologies as well as the jury members Petra Severit, Katharina Maniura, Carla Fernandez Rico, and Laura De Laporte who made this event possible and played a major role in shaping it. Thank you!
