PD Dr. Laura De Laporte gets the call for a W2 Tenure Track Professorship

PD Dr.-Ing. Laura De Laporte from DWI - Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials in Aachen is one of five outstanding female scientists who have been funded under the Leibniz Association's Female Professors Programme since January 2018. As part of the joint appointment procedure with the DWI - Leibniz Institute, the RWTH Aachen has now given the scientist a call for the subject "Advanced Materials for Biomedicine" (tenure track).
Laura De Laporte has headed a junior research group at the DWI - Leibniz Institute since 2013 and was awarded a 'Starting Grant' by the European Research Council in 2015. In October 2017 she completed her habilitation in chemistry and became a private lecturer. Laura De Laporte develops biohybrid and biologically inspired materials for medical applications, such as the regeneration of damaged tissue. Her goal is to replicate the complex structure of natural tissues by developing new material concepts and manufacturing methods.
