Development of functionalized microgels

Aim of the project is to equip microgels with specific binding motifs to scavenge and bind bacterial enterotoxins. In the future, this therapeutic approach can be used as an alternative therapy to antibiotics and thus reduce infections with Clostridium difficile or Cholera, EHEC and Shigellose.
