Research interest
Nadja Wolter's research is focused on the synthesis and characterization of asymmetric and anisotropic functional microgels. Liquid-crystalline monomers are used among others, which due to their structure offer the ability for self-organization. The aim is the synthesis of microgels that are able to reversible adapt their shape, morphology or physico-chemical properties through external stimuli such as light or temperature. As synthesis methods, precipitation polymerizations in semi-batch or continuous processes are used.
Nadja Wolter is part of the RG Pich.
