Research interest
The aim of my research is the modification of a surface’s characteristics with functional microgels. The structure of surfaces can be adapted by printing of microgels with soft lithography techniques. The chemical characteristics of an interface can be adapted by post-modification of the reactive microgels. Such surfaces are interesting for the use as cell culture substrates. Another application is the production of microgel-based anti-ice coatings for textiles.
