Research interest
Davide Campagna’s research lies in the field of polymer mechanochemistry, exploring functional molecular structures, the so called ‘mechanophores’, which respond to mechanical force, that is applied by means stretching of polymer chains anchored to these scaffolds. Davide’s project focuses mainly on designing responsive moieties which work as latent aminocatalysts, whose activity is mechanochemically triggerable, hence ideally achieving a novel system which shows a mechanical temporal control over organocatalytic processes.
