Research interest
Anna Kalde's research investigates multiphase flow dynamics in porous network structures. The impact of pore network geometry and surface properties on displacing and displaced fluids is the focus of her research. Currently, the unwanted wetting and de-wetting of fluids in porous systems is a limiting factor in several industrial applications in medical devices, electrochemical processes, and biotechnology. In the future, a deeper understanding of highly dynamic fluid mechanical effects will help controlling fluid displacement in industrial processes.
