Research interest
Aman Ishaqat is researching ultrasound responsive drug delivery systems using DNA-based nanotechnology. The aim is to use ultrasound for spatiotemporally controlled release of active pharmaceutical ingredients. One focus is delivering therapeutic nucleic acids together with antigens for immunostimulation in the context of cancer immunotherapy. Another focus is siRNA delivery for gene knockdown purposes, which can be used in the treatment of hereditary disorders.
Aman Ishaqat is part of the RG Herrmann.
